Connie Zweig explores the traditional life review in midlife or beyond as the ego’s life review and adds the dimension of Shadow – how to connect what was expressed with what was repressed. In this way, the unlived life moves into awareness, and we can reclaim some of what was sacrificed.

Creative Sage-ing with Poetry

Rosemary will teach a simple poetry-writing pattern and expand from that into using Sage-ing® poetry as springboards for our creativity. The techniques we use help everyone feel successful at writing poetry. Using our five senses, we’ll add details to the writing. We’ll share our writings together and then complete the workshop with a shared writing experience.

Dr. Ellen Brown, a hospice and palliative medicine physician, will lead us in a session to discuss many of the important issues that arise in the last months, weeks and days of life and how to better prepare for them. She will discuss helpful tips in starting crucial conversations with your loved ones as well as your healthcare provider and how to incorporate your values in your healthcare decisions.
